Is human growth hormone safe?
Human growth hormone or HGH is a natural hormone produced by the pituitary gland mostly during the growing years right up till adulthood. Once adulthood is reached, HGH levels plateau out, and slowly decline the older we get.
The understanding of HGH really begins with learning about its link with aging. The less growth hormone you have, the more you age. HGH seems to deliver a protective role in slowing down aging symptoms from advancing. It doesn’t mean HGH stops aging altogether, but by spurring cell growth, you are sending strong signals to your body that it isn’t over the hill, so to speak.
However, some controversy over HGH involves misusing it to the point of overdosing on it. HGH is a very powerful hormone, and overdosing may induce the risks of cancer, or acromegaly for example. However, despite numerous tests done so far, no conclusive evidence has singled out HGH as a definitive cause of cancer, and most doctors agree very low doses are actually highly beneficial to the body rather than detrimental.
